Kirby Star Allies is a 2.5D scene game with a wide, intuitive perspective. Gamers will control the character Kirby and 3 other teammates. Kirby can drop hearts on enemies to turn them into allies. You will be able to play alone with the AI or with friends.
As Kirby gains additional companions, new and special attacks are activated, allowing Kirby to combine abilities own strength with teammates. The skill combination will stay in effect until a new power is unlocked.
Once Kirby has 3 allies, they can perform Friend Actions in specific stages, such as Friend Train and Friend Star. Kirby will also be able to bring Dream Friends with him, which are familiar characters like Bandana Waddle Dee, King Dedede and Meta Knight. There are also new faces like Rick, Kine and Coo (Dream Land 2), Marx (Super Star), Gooey (Dream Land 3), Daraoch (Squeak Squad), Dark Meta Knight (Amazing Mirror) and Adeleine & Ribbon (sixty four). To fight the final boss, Kirby must use Dragoon's Friend Action called Star Allies Sparkler from the Kirby Air Ride version. With this power, Kirby can walk past the boss with a 3D perspective and shoot the target easily.
