Android Studio is Google's own standard programming tool to replace the old Eclipse. Android Studio includes the following components: Android Studio IDE, Android SDK tools, Android 5.0 (Lollipop) Platform, Android 5.0 emulator system image with Google APIs.
Android Studio is a smart programming tool that can edit new code with a lot of changes like: new UI design tools and visualization, performance analysis, etc. allow programmers to create applications, make changes as well as preview the product in real time.
Create complex layouts with ConstraintLayout by adding constraints from one viewer to another and instructions. Then, preview the layout on any screen size by selecting one of the available device profiles or manually resizing the preview window.
Find an opportunity to reduce the size of an Android app by examining the contents of the app APK file, even if it wasn't built with Android Studio. Check manifest, resources and DEX. Compare 2 APKs to see how app size varies between versions.
Install and run apps faster than a physical device emulating a variety of configurations and functions, including the Google ARCore platform to build augmented reality experiences.
Write better code, work faster, and be more productive with intelligent code editing tools that can perfect code for Kotlin, Java, and C/C languages.
Powered by Gradle, Android Studio's build system helps you customize your build to create more variations for different devices in the same project.
Built-in profiling tools provide real-time statistics for your application's CPU, memory, and network activity. Identify performance bottlenecks by logging method traces, inspecting blocks and allocations, and viewing network downloads in and out.
If you are using Eclipse Android programming tool with ADT, please note that Android Studio is now the official IDE for Android, so you must switch to Android Studio to get all the latest IDE updates. .
Design
Split View support in design editors
Design editing tools such as Layout Editor and Navigation Editor, now provide a split view window, allowing you to also observe the interface code design. Split View replaces the original Preview window, which can be configured based on the file to preserve content information such as Zoom factors and design options. This makes it easy for you to choose the best option for each situation. Enable this function by clicking the icon Split in the top right corner of the Editor window.
Color Selector Source Tab
In Android Studio 3.6, the color picker injects color resources into the application to let you quickly select and replace corresponding color values. You will be able to access this function in ndesign tools or XML editors.
Programming
View binding is a function that makes it easier to write code, to interact with view windows by providing compile-time safety when referencing code. When enabled, View binding creates a binding class for each XML layout file in that module.
