Originally, the game was called Prey for the Gods but unfortunately got into a copyright dispute with Bethesda Softworks' super product Prey released at the same time, so developer No Matter Studios had to change its name back to Praey for the Gods. After all, the game is finally on Steam shelves and promises to cause storms in the near future.

Praey for the Gods is designed by No Matter Studios - a small game studio with 3 members: Brian Parnell, Tim Wiese and Hung-Chien Liao. In 2014, the team worked together for many hours to launch the first product. In January 2016, they moved their offices from San Francisco to Seattle. Here, No Matter Studios made its game-making dreams come true, and Praey for the Gods was released shortly after.
