Bkav has launched a free anti-virus tool Flashback, a virus that is infecting the world, targeting Apple Mac computers.
The Flashback Virus is a trojan that fakes an update of Adobe Flash Player. Hackers have tricked Mac users by encouraging them to download a "new version of Adobe Flash Player software" that actually downloads a trojan. When infecting the user's computer, Flashback steals passwords and information about accounts on the computer such as credit cards, emails, etc., connects to a botnet and receives hackers' commands via CC server (control server).
Flashback attacks a vulnerability in Apple's Mac OS X, which also means that most current Macintosh computers such as MacBook Pro, MacBook Air ... can be exploited because of this virus. According to statistics, there are now more than 600,000 Mac computers around the world infected with Flashback trojan. In Vietnam, currently the Mac computer line is very popular with many people, so the risk of getting caught in the Flashback trap is high.
